Man United to hold talks with six-time league winning manager as Erik Ten Hag’s replacement
After a dismal start to the season, Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, is under a lot of pressure, therefore it would not be shocking if the Dutchman is fired shortly.
Manchester United has supported him financially in the transfer market and has added several elite players in recent years.
Ten Hag hasn’t been able to provide the desired outcomes, though, on the field. It’s obvious that the Dutch manager is in trouble, and Manchester United is allegedly considering other options.
Manchester United is reportedly interested in Massimiliano Allegri, the former manager of Juventus, according to Football Insider.
The 57-year-old has experience managing at the greatest level and has won numerous titles in his career.
He is not the only candidate on the Manchester United shortlist and they are keeping tabs on the former England manager, Gareth Southgate as well.
Furthermore, former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is also one of the frontrunners to land the Manchester United job. It will be interesting to see who they end up with.
Erik ten Hag needs to move on
It is evident that Ten Hag is struggling at Old Trafford and a change is needed. Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they cannot afford to put in mediocre performances season after season.
They will be expected to challenge for major trophies and match up to the European elite.
Meanwhile, the report from Football Insider claims that Manchester United plan to hold talks with Allegri regarding a potential move and it remains to be seen whether they can convince the Italian manager to take over.
He has won six league titles in Italy and he knows what it takes to manage a big club like Manchester United. He is reportedly a preferred option for club legend Sir Alex Ferguson as well.
Allegri, Tuchel, and Inzaghi should be the ones we are looking at.
Southgate, Frank, are not good enough for the job.
We need an experienced manager who has done it all before to get us out of this rut, and bring back the determination and passion needed to bring us forward.
We are going backwards under Ten Hag and if INEOS listen to the fans as promised, they would move now, and bring in a top top manager to do this job.
