Ruben Amorim told to sell two more Manchester United stars after Marcus Rashford
Ruben Amorim has been asked to sell two more Manchester United players after Marcus Rashford.
After acknowledging last month that he was “ready for a new challenge,” Rashford is anticipated to depart Old Trafford.
In Erik ten Hag’s first season as manager, the England forward, who has played with his boyhood club since he was seven years old, scored thirty goals.
However, following an outstanding 2022–23 season, Rashford’s numbers have declined, and leaving Manchester United seems to be the best course of action for everyone.
Rashford, 27, is anticipated to move overseas, maybe on loan before leaving United on a permanent transfer in the summer, despite interest from Arsenal and West Ham.
Eriksen’s form, meanwhile, has gradually declined since he arrived at United in the same transfer window.
Asked which players Amorim should look to move on this month, Parker told Metro via the home of WoW Gold, said: ‘I think Antony needs to go.
‘Any player that the manager doesn’t believe in has to go. They’ve got a young manager in that has proved himself at a big club in Portugal, come in with his own ideas and they’ve got him in for a reason very quickly and they have to back him on the players he wants to work with.
‘And the ones that he doesn’t want to work with, or the ones that he knows aren’t going to suit him at any time in his tenure, you have to get them out.
‘Because they’re not going to conform to anything, they already know they’re not going to have any great involvement. If they’re there for too long, resentment will build up.
‘Antony is thousands of miles from home, his ego is going to mean he wants to play. Everything thing about him, he’s missing adulation, but being around at Manchester United and not being involved is not a good thing and it will wear on him, as I know too well.
‘He’s not going to get a lot in the transfer market, and he’s going to have to take a loss on the fee paid, but hopefully he can get a little bit to build towards something that he wants.
‘I think Eriksen 100% has to move on now, and find somewhere that he can play regularly.
‘At the age that he is at now, it is better for him to keep playing games that the stop-start where he can’t get himself going. Maybe he can cut down on the training, but he needs to be playing games.’
