Manuel Ugarte new price tag revealed as PSG “lower demands” for Man United target
Since Paris Saint-Germain “lowered their demands” for the Manchester United target, Manuel Ugarte’s new price has become public.
Prior to the transfer deadline, United is still hoping to close a few deals and is working hard to sign Manuel Ugarte of PSG.
According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Ugarte is eager to join Old Trafford, and the most recent information suggests that a deal is almost finalized.
According to David Ornstein, United’s prospects of acquiring Ugarte are greatly increased by Napoli and United’s agreement to acquire Scottish international Scott McTominay for about £25.4 million.
It has since been detailed by the trusted Uruguayan outlet El País that negotiations between United and PSG for the 23-year-old midfielder are “practically closed.”
It also mentions that Ugarte is set to leave for Manchester in the “next few hours” after ironing out a few minor details. Everything is “on track” for a swift move to Old Trafford.
Previously, many reports claimed that PSG were unwilling to budge on their £51 million price tag for the midfielder. United initially walked away from a move due to the valuation.
The aforementioned report added that United offered in the region of £44 million for Ugarte and that PSG have lowered their initial price demands. Further details of potential add-ons were not detailed in the report.
United face Liverpool next Sunday, and the club will be hoping to have a deal for Ugarte over the line in time for that.
However, considering how Erik ten Hag has approached bringing Matthijs de Ligt – who also barely had a pre-season – into the team, it’s likely that Ugarte would be on the bench for that game.
Then, an international break will come before the Reds return with a game against Southampton
