Man United told they must pay huge €120m to sign Benfica wonderkid and ‘potential Kobbie Mainoo partner’ amid Arsenal and PSG interest
Manchester United and Arsenal have reportedly been told that Benfica’s Joao Neves will cost €120m to buy this summer.
Benfica want €120m for Portuguese international with Clubs unwilling to go near that figure.
Joao Neves has had a breakout season with Benfica and the highly-touted midfielder has attracted a lot of attention from across Europe.
As per journalist Ben Jacobs, Benfica have no plans of letting the wonderkid leave the club this summer for anything less than his release clause of €120 million (£101.4m/$128.2m).
Manchester United are looking to replace Casemiro, who is set to leave the Red Devils for a move to Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are likely to be looking to fill the gap in the squad left by the imminent sale of Thomas Partey but have Declan Rice firmly in place as their main pivot.
As per the report, neither team is willing to meet Benfica’s demands and will only look to begin talks with the club if they name a more reasonable asking price
