Man United receive huge blow as Arsenal lead race t to secure signing of £64m star

Man United have been interested in signing Benjamin Sesko from Leipzig with agent seen at Old Trafford during arsenal game with Arsenal competing to secure his signing.

As per today’s version of The Telegraph, the Gunners are in pole position to lure the Slovenian international, who could cost around £64m.

Man Utd need a long term replacemenet of Anthony Martial and Sesko is on their radar. Dean Jones said:

“United’s interest in him was pretty hot last summer and they have always retained that they might still be keen when he next becomes available, but Arsenal are in this discussion too.”

As per the renowned journalist, Sesko’s agent was even present at Old Trafford last Sunday to watch the game between Man Utd and Arsenal.

The 20-year-old has not been a regular starter for Leipzig this term but things have changed in the past couple of months.

In 16 Bundesliga starts, the youngster has found the net 13 times and also provided 2 assists. He has scored in each of his last six league games for Leipzig.

The 27-capped international started 9 games in the Euro 2024 qualification campaign and directly contributed in 7 goals to help Slovenia book a place in the competition.

Man Utd have struggled this season and it is another blow for them that Arsenal are favorites to lure a quality player like Sesko.
