Barcelona ‘now open’ to the prospect of £80m superstar defender sale amid Strong Man United links

According to a report relayed by TEAMtalk, Barcelona are ‘warming’ to the idea of selling United-linked defender Ronald Araujo ahead of this summer’s transfer window.

United have been strongly linked with the centre-back in recent weeks amid uncertainty about whether or not he will sign a new deal at Barcelona.

The Spanish club wants him to extend his Camp Nou future, but he has reportedly shown no sign of being prepared to do so. His current deal is up in 2026.

United plan to try and sign two centre-backs ahead of next season and Araujo would rank as a statement signing.
