Man United name Jadon Sancho asking price after star gives PSG green light for transfer

Although the £73 million forward was reintegrated into Manchester United’s first squad at the beginning of preseason, he is still free to depart Old Trafford before the transfer deadline.

Although Jadon Sancho has given Paris Saint-Germain permission to sign him, Manchester United will not sell him for a low price. After burying the hatchet at the start of the preseason, Sancho, 24, is back in Erik ten Hag’s team.

After Ten Hag and Man United’s £73 million acquisition had a falling out in September 2023, Ten Hag was banished and later moved on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January.

Sancho found his form again while he was back in Germany, where he assisted Dortmund in winning the Champions League.
The Bundesliga giants were keen to re-sign the 23-time England international permanently but he ultimately returned to Old Trafford.

That hasn’t stopped speculation surrounding his future, though, with PSG emerging as potential suitors.

French outlet RMC Sport claim that Sancho has said ‘yes’ to the Ligue 1 champions but United are demanding a cool £51.4m to part ways.

The Independent are reporting that a loan with an obligation to buy could be a way to reach an agreement and there’s hope between both parties that a deal can be struck.

Sancho isn’t the only player who the two clubs are discussing, too, as United remain interested in PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

The Uruguayan only joined from Sporting Lisbon a year ago but is understood to be available this summer.

Although United have already made four new signings, Ten Hag would ideally like to bring in a long-term replacement for 32-year-old Casemiro before transfer deadline day, with Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong also a target.

It’s been claimed that PSG also want £51.4m to sell Ugarte, so perhaps a swap deal could be on the cards which would see Sancho get his move to Paris.
