Man United given asking price from Bayern Munich to sign Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui

Manchester United are still over £10 million apart from Bayern Munich’s valuation of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, according to reports.

After Leny Yoro, a recent £52 million signing, suffered a fractured foot earlier this week, putting him out for three months, Erik ten Hag is still looking for a new central defender.

This summer, United and Bayern began negotiations over De Ligt, but United declined to pay the German team’s €50 million (£42 million) asking price for the Netherlands international.

Although a cost has not been agreed upon with Bayern Munich, United has also agreed on personal terms with Mazraoui.

Mazraoui and West Ham struck an agreement last month worth €15.5 million (£12.7 million) with a further €4 million (£3.4 million) in add-ons.

However, the 26-year-old turned down the offer and is holding out for a move to United.

According to The Sun, United’s joint offer this week was £51m and was rejected by Bayern.

The report claims that Bayern are demanding £64m for both De Ligt and Mazraoui.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the camp of De Ligt and Mazraoui, who are both represented by Rafaela Pimenta, were ‘bemused’ by Bayern’s response to United’s offer.

Bayern have informed both De Ligt and Mazraoui that they are not part of Vincent Kompany’s plans for the new season.

‘In general, you can always talk to each other sensibly. I think all doors are open for everyone,’ said Kimmich, who has just a year left on his contract.

‘In general, I feel very comfortable here. All my children were born here, we built here.

‘Of course, last season wasn’t that successful. That is not what Bayern Munich expects, and it is not what I expect myself to expect. Now I am very hungry and full of energy for the new season.’
