Man City star Erling Haaland fires four-word warning message to Man United ahead of derby

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is ready for the upcoming derby against Manchester United this weekend.

Unsurprisingly, the forward is raring to go for the big game this weekend after his goalscoring exploits in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

Remarkably, Haaland scored five as City beat Luton Town 6-2, setting up a quarter-final clash with Newcastle United in a couple of weeks.

Before then comes a clash with United which holds a special place in the Norwegian’s heart. In his first-ever Manchester derby, Haaland bagged a hat-trick as the Blues won 6-3 in a game which was a lot more comfortable for City than the scoreline suggests.

After losing the return fixture last season at Old Trafford, Haaland was back among the goals in his last game against the Reds. He scored twice as City ran out comfortable 3-0 victors.

And now, Haaland has taken to Instagram as he shared a message on Friday after the Blues made their final preparations for one of the biggest matches of the season. As a caption, the Norwegian wrote: “Manchester derby coming up!”

Haaland was targeted by United fans in October with chants of ‘Keano’ in reference to Roy Keane who held a long-standing rivalry with the forward’s father Alf-Inge Haaland. Post-match, the 23-year-old was pleased to have the last laugh.

“Amazing. A fantastic win and the game was incredible and the team, everything, especially this guy (Bernardo Silva),” he told Sky Sports.

“(For the third goal) I saw Phil was alone so it was simple as that. People were singing to me ‘Keano’ (after the penalty), I don’t know why but it is what it is. It was a nice celebration and a nice game.”
