I would love to play at Old Trafford – Top Premier League forward rejects big offer, prefers to move to Man Utd

Man Utd will have signed five players this summer: Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and the PSG player himself, after they formally finalize the Manuel Ugarte deal. It seems surprisingly that Man Utd are far from finished.

In recent days, the Red Devils have been connected to a move for one of the unlikeliest targets—former Manchester City player Raheem Sterling.

Yesterday, we reported on a story that suggested Man Utd wanted to finalize a trade that would see Jadon Sancho go the opposite way.

According to The Daily Mirror, Sterling has now turned down a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia because he prefers to remain in England.

The 29-year-old wants to reestablish himself in the national English team and might have to stay at England to have a chance of doing that.

This is why the ex-Liverpool forward is open to moving to Man Utd, as per Daily Mail. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has made it very clear that Sterling will not get any game time if he stays at Stamford Bridge, handing out a clear directive asking the player to move.

As per the Times, Dan Ashworth, Man Utd’s sporting director is the driving force behind making this Raheem Sterling deal happen. Apparently, the 29-year-old supported the Red Devils growing up and would entertain this possibility.

Should Man Utd sign Sterling?
Should Man Utd manage to sign Sterling this summer, it has to be at the expense of Jadon Sancho who is keen about the possibility of joining Chelsea.

Should the two clubs see eye-to-eye on this swap deal, things could get wrapped up quickly.

Signing an ex-Manchester City player or an ex-Liverpool player doesn’t always sit well with Man Utd fans.

Thus, signing an ex-Man City & ex-Liverpool player in Sterling could cause some widespread uproar unless the fans see this as a way of getting back at them.

Sterling might not be what we need this summer but what he brings is trophy-winning experience.

On the right finances, we can make this deal happen and let’s see how this saga pans out in the next couple of days. Do you think Man Utd should get this deal done
