I Will join Man United on one Condition – Man United eyeing shock 2025 move for Ousmane Dembele as he makes surprise admission
Manchester United have reportedly held talks with Paris Saint-Germain over signing Ousmane Dembélé next year.
The summer transfer window, which saw United make five first-team signings, only closed just over two weeks ago, and the Red Devils have already set their sights on new targets.
Recently, The Peoples Person relayed a report from the Manchester Evening News suggesting the club’s initial plan for the summer of 2025 is to sign a defender, a midfielder and a winger.
While it is not very surprising for clubs to plan their future transfer business well in advance, Fichajes have gone a step further, claiming United have already opened negotiations for a new signing.
According to the Spanish outlet (via Football Transfers), the Premier League giants have started negotiations with Dembele’s representatives over a move to Old Trafford next year.
The 27-year-old star is understood to be willing to move to the Premier League, having already made clear that he is open to swapping the Parisians for the Mancunian giants.
Dembele only moved to the French capital in 2023 after the Ligue 1 outfit triggered a €50m release clause in his Barcelona contract.
The French winger enjoyed a mixed first season at PSG and has started this term strongly, having been directly involved in three goals and three assists in just four Ligue 1 appearances.
The idea of Dembele joining United and potentially replacing Antony, who has proven to be a disastrous signing, seems appealing.
Still, considering the stage of the season we are in, it is best to take the claim with a pinch of salt.
For now, Erik ten Hag appears more invested in developing Amad Diallo, who has shown promise to make the right-wing spot his own with his scintillating performances in the opening games of the new campaign.
In his three Premier League starts, Amad has managed to bag a goal and register an assist. In his side’s 3-0 win over Southampton, the Ivorian created more chances than any other player on the pitch
