Huge Boost for Man United as they firmly move ‘towards completing the deal’ to sign £84.7million star open to Old Trafford move

Manchester United are firmly moving to secure the signing of Joao Neves from Benfica in the summer transfer window, as per reports.

According to reports from Portugal yesterday, the Red Devils made a 70 million euro offer to sign the player.

But according to O Jogo’s narrative in today’s newspaper, the Old Trafford outfit never made such an offer.

According to the media outlet, Benfica has not yet received an official request to sell the 19-year-old midfield player.

Even said, Man Utd and PSG are still very interested in signing Joao Neves, and they are moving “toward completing the deal.”

The teenage sensation has been top class for Benfica in the No.6 position and even though he has not featured a lot at the European Championships, his value remains extremely high.

As per O Jogo, Man Utd boss, Erik ten Hag, who has recently extended his stay at the club, sees Neves as a priority signing to reinforce things in the center.

To seal an agreement with Benfica, the Premier League side will have to reach the ‘threshold’ of £84.7million i.e. 100 million euros.

Neves made no fewer than 55 appearances in all competition for the Liga Nos giants last term and could be an ideal long term replacement of Man Utd star, Casemiro
