Man United could now accept ‘big offer’ for Superstar as forward overhaul intensifies as Ruben Amorim wants surprise Reunion with the winger in a surprise swap deal with £60m Serie A rated star

Manchester United could be prepared to let Amad Diallo leave for the right price amid concerns about his place in Michael Carrick’s squad.

The 23-year-old impressed in his first World Cup appearance for Ivory Coast as he scored a late winner to inspire a 1-0 win against Ecuador in Philadelphia earlier this week.

However, there are doubts about whether he is seen as a regular under Carrick, and the potential arrival of a new winger could see him pushed out.

Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that the club have not ruled out selling Amad for the right price, should a tempting offer arrive.

There is a belief Man United can upgrade on the Ivory Coast international, who they signed from Italian outfit Atalanta for around £37million when he was just 18.

This comes amid comparisons to other top sides, with the likes of Mohamed Salah and Bukayo Saka having spearheaded Liverpool and Arsenal’s attacks.

Could Man United accept offers for Amad Diallo?

Ruben considers swapping Rafael Leao for Amad Diallo as he sees the Ivorian as an ideal RWB for his system.

Brown told Football Insider in May that Man United are open to cashing in on Amad following concerns about his inconsistent performances when called upon.

The winger has failed to nail down a place in the starting XI when competing with Bryan Mbeumo, and could soon face even more competition for places.

Man United are planning to sign a new winger this summer in a move which could push Amad down the pecking order and ultimately away from Old Trafford.

“Man United are looking to sign a natural wide player, a winger who can give them something they don’t have,” Brown told Football Insider.

“When you look at the wide options they’ve got at the moment, they were playing Matheus Cunha, who isn’t really a winger, and Bryan Mbeumo, who also plays up front.

“So they don’t really have a natural winger who gives them something out wide like most of the trophy-winning clubs do at the moment.

“Even just looking at the last two Premier League winners, Liverpool have had Salah, and Arsenal have had Saka. They’ve been the real spearheads in their sides.

“Amad Diallo is the one player at Man United who you would say is an out-and-out winger, but there are a few doubts about his role in the side.

“He was never quite able to establish himself in the starting XI, he’s been in and out of the side, and if somebody else comes in that would only push him down the pecking order.

“From what I hear, Man United aren’t ruling out letting him go as long as the price is right.

“They won’t be actively pushing to move him on, I’m sure, because he is highly regarded there, but if somebody was to come in with a big offer they would consider it.

“That would then allow them to bring in the top-level winger they’re looking for, with the money from that sale.”

How does Amad feel about leaving Man United?
While speculation has risen surrounding Amad’s long-term future at Old Trafford, he is currently focused on the World Cup, where he aims to defy the odds with Ivory Coast.

However, doubts about his future at Old Trafford are sure to have crept in, and the winger may have a key decision in whether or not he leaves the club.

Football Insider revealed in March that Amad is keen to stay at Man United and prove himself to Carrick, and is not currently considering his future at the club.

This came after he shared a cryptic social media post in which he wrote: “What is meant to grow does not stay in the same place forever”.
