BREAKING; Jets Star to Demand Trade If Aaron Rodgers Returns In 2025 reveals insider
The New York Jets have two games remaining in what has been a nightmare 2024 season.
Entering the year, many expected the Jets to snap their longstanding playoff drought and potentially be among the AFC’s best teams.
Instead, even with Aaron Rodgers starting every game thus far, New York is 4-11 and has clinched its 14th-straight season without a postseason berth.
There’s been a plethora of issues plaguing the Jets this year, but one problem below the surface has apparently been the relationship between Rodgers and third-year wide receiver Garrett Wilson.
There have been whispers recently that Wilson is unhappy, and NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday that “all is not well with Rodgers and Wilson.” and if the four-time MVP returns for the 2025 season, the 2022 first-round wideout may ask for an escape.
“Wilson has not requested a trade, but if Rodgers is back, that is one of the options for how to proceed,” Rapoport wrote.
Wilson is eligible for a contract extension this offseason but was noncommittal when asked recently if he wants to remain with Gang Green.
“I don’t know,” Wilson said. “I just do whatever, I go about my day, however, and I’ll be where my feet are at. If they do, that would be a blessing. That would be awesome. I love the Jets. At the end of the day, they were the ones that believed in me. I can’t be worrying about all that. Just going to finish these three games the right way.”
With 90 receptions for 987 yards, Wilson is on the verge of his third-straight 1,000-yard season. He also has already set a career-high in touchdown catches with six, but his connection with Rodgers has seemed a tad off most of the year.
“I’d like to be involved, love to make an impact on the game, but people see it differently,” Wilson told reporters last Sunday after catching six passes for 54 in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams. “That’s out of my control.”
Meanwhile, Rodgers has not indicated if he intends to play another season in 2025, and some reports have said Jets owner Woody Johnson does not want the 41-year-old signal caller back for another go.
