£50m-rated Premier League star has ‘no intention’ to sign a new contract with Man United on ‘high alert’

Manchester United are set to receive a significant transfer boost with centre-back Marc Guehi ready to reject a new Crystal Palace contract.

The Sun claim Man United and Arsenal are on high alert with Guehi having ‘no intention’ of signing a new deal.

The 23-year-old, who started the first four games of Euro 2024, has been playing well lately.

His punishment prevented him from playing in the quarterfinal matchup against Switzerland. At Palace, he is now only paid £50,000 a week, and his contract will expire in 2026.

The center back played 29 games in the 2023–2024 season, missing some time because of a knee injury. He cleared three and a half.

However, Guehi boasts a superior passing accuracy of 87 percent, compared to Branthwaite’s 80 percent.

Ten Hag wants his centre-backs to be technically sound and swift ball passers. The Palace star definitely fits that criteria.

The Eagles are set to demand at least £50m to sanction his exit but might have to decrease their asking price if Guehi declines contract negotiations.
