Xavi Simons set to make transfer decision on next club after Wonderful goal in Euro 2024 semi-final amid strong Man United interest

After scoring a spectacular goal in the Netherlands’ semifinal loss to England in the Euro 2024, Xavi Simons is expected to move in the summer, but he has yet to decide where he will play football next year.

The 21-year-old gave the Netherlands the lead in Dortmund on Wednesday night with an incredible long-range goal, but it was in vain as Harry Kane and Ollie Watkins’ goals sent England into the Sunday championship match against Spain.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that both Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are interested in signing the Dutchman this summer and are working on short-term deals.

The player will now make a decision on where he wants to play his football next season, with either a return to Leipzig or a big move to Bayern under Vincent Kompany the two clearest options.

Manchester United have been touted as holding an interest in Simons as well, but he is unlikely to be a priority for the Red Devils as they look to sign a new centre-back and centre-forward.

Another Dutchman looks more likely to arrive at Old Trafford, with progress being made in signing Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer.

According to Bild, United are now close to reaching an agreement with Bayern as the Premier League club have indicated that they are willing to meet De Ligt’s asking price of £42m
