Three Manchester United players set to return vs Liverpool as club give fresh Mason Mount update

Marcus Rashford and Jonny Evans are both eligible for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Everton this weekend.

Rashford and Evans were pulled out in the second half of Manchester City’s derby defeat last week, but Rashford returned to training on Wednesday.

Evans was not visible, but United manager Erik ten Hag stated the centre back is fit to face Sean Dyche’s side. Teenage winger Omari Forson is out due to injury.

“That’s the good news,” Ten Hag said of team news. “They (Rashford and Evans) recovered from the derby, so they’re available, and the rest of the squad is the same except for Omari Forson.” “He dropped out due to an injury.”

Ten Hag is also hopeful. Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, and Rasmus Hojlund will return for the FA Cup quarter-finals against Liverpool next Sunday.

Wan-Bissaka has missed the last eight games due to a leg injury, Maguire was out for the FA Cup triumph against Nottingham Forest and the City loss, and Hojlund has missed the last three games due to a muscular issue.

Mason Mount hasn’t played since November 11 due to a calf injury, and the £60 million summer signing has missed five months of the season due to muscle problems.

Ten Hag said Mount would return after the March internationals. “Mason Mount: I believe he is having a good spell and will return soon. I think after the international break.

“Some players are aiming to return next week, hopefully when the process continues as it is now, including Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who I expect to be available for our game against Liverpool. Hojlund, as well.”
