Terms agreed! – £50m Barcelona star opens door to shock last minute Man Utd move in a swap deal with English international Jadon Sancho

Manchester United wish to exchange their troubled winger Jadon Sancho for FC Barcelona counterpart Raphinha, according to SPORT.

Former England international Sancho is currently frozen out of the fold at Old Trafford after making the ill-advised decision to publicly criticize head coach Erik ten Hag.

He neither trains nor plays with the first team, and looks set to continue in that predicament until he offers the Dutchman an apology for his outburst.

The turn of events makes Sancho available to other clubs such as his former employers Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, who have already expressed interest in his services.

As reported by ESPN a month ago, however, the Red Devils aren’t interested in offloading the clearly talented forward for a cut fee and want to recoup as much of the $91.6 million (£73 million) they paid Dortmund to buy him in 2021.

Sancho also has a contract that runs until 2026 with the option of extending another year, so there is no risk of United having to lower their asking price in order to not lose him on a free anytime soon.

Deco could stand in the way of a transfer being agreed if Raphinha doesn’t want to move back to the north of England, and there could also be concerns about Sancho’s history of discipline issues.

At the same time, though, current Barca head coach Xavi Hernandez took Ousmane Dembele under his wing when he had a bad reputation and turned him into one of the best widemen in Europe ahead of the Frenchman completing a shock transfer to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window
