Manchester United midfielder Casemiro could be sold with Sir Jim Ratcliffe allegedly open to offers from Saudi Arabian clubs.

Confirmation of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s involvement in Manchester United should not be far away now.

BBC Sport report that Ratcliffe is poised to complete the purchase of a 25% stake in United, paying around £1.25billion.

Ratcliffe would then take over football operations at United and we would expect to see big changes.

A new sporting director could arrive amid links to Crystal Palace’s Dougie Freedman, but Ratcliffe may have some ideas of his own.

Casemiro could leave Manchester United
TalkSPORT claim that United will now ‘consider’ selling midfielder Casemiro amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

It’s stated that Ratcliffe is ‘open to offers’ for Casemiro in an attempt to reinvest in the United squad.

This maybe isn’t a huge surprise; reports in October suggested that Ratcliffe wasn’t impressed with United’s deal for Casemiro.

United paid around £60million to sign Casemiro from Real Madrid whilst also agreeing to wages of £350,000-a-week.

That price tag makes Casemiro one of Ten Hag’s biggest signings since arriving in 2022, but Ratcliffe would seemingly listen to bids for the Brazilian.

Al Hilal keen on Casemiro amid difficult season
Casemiro does have one suitor in Saudi Arabia as reporter Ben Jacobs claims that Al Hilal are interested in signing him in 2024.

Ruben Neves could leave Al Hilal and Casemiro is seemingly seen as a big-name midfield reinforcement.

Ratcliffe may be keen to strike that deal with Casemiro far from at his best this season.

The 31-year-old has suffered with injury problems this term and, even when he has played, he hasn’t been anywhere near as good all last season.

Casemiro is still contracted until 2026 with the option of another year, but his time at Old Trafford may come to an end in 2024 if Ratcliffe has his way
