Sir Jim Ratcliffe has approved Man United to sign £60m Premier League superstar, he’s the only target currently

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team at Manchester United have approved just one transfer target so far – Michael Olise of Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils have a lot of work to do in the coming months. Their recent results look good, but for Manchester United to return to the very top, a lot of changes need to happen. Ratcliffe and Co are busy at work.

Manchester United have been linked with plenty of players over the last few months, and Michael Olise is one of them.

The Crystal Palace winger is among the most talented players in the Premier League right now. He has been magnificent since the start of last season, and it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Selhurst Park for a bigger club.

Chelsea tried really hard to sign Olise last summer, while clubs like Arsenal and Manchester United have both been linked with a move to get him as well.

Ben Jacobs has shared the latest, and he has revealed that Olise is currently the only player who has been approved as a target by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s team.

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “The only, as far as I’m aware, categorical and endorsed target, if you’d like, for the summer from the current regime and the new Ratcliffe-led ownership, is Michael Olise at Crystal Palace.

“Everything else is up in the air. So, INEOS are thinking more about broad positions, and the striker is one of them, for example, and they’re looking at outgoings, which may help fund the window.

“And then from there, once the new recruitment team is built, we’ll start to work out which ones of these other links are concrete.”

Every new owner would like to make a statement, and signing Michael Olise ahead of other interested clubs would be a great way for Sir Jim Ratcliffe to start the summer transfer window.

The Crystal Palace winger has a release clause in his contract worth around £60 million (Mirror).

That fee may seem steep, but we’re absolutely convinced he would be a better signing than Manchester United’s current left-footed right-winger – Antony.

Since the start of last season, Olise has scored eight goals and provided 14 assists in the Premier League. Antony, on the other hand, has four goals and two assists in the English top flight in the same period.

Olise is a much better player than Antony, and we really think he will become a star at Old Trafford if Manchester United sign him this summer
