sir Jim Ratcliffe drops hint on first Man United January signing in €20m top Bundesliga striker
Stuttgart have identified Augsburg striker Dion Beljo as a replacement for Serhou Guirassy, who is attracting interest from Manchester United ahead of the New Year, BILD report.
Guirassy has been in sensational form for the Bundesliga outfit this campaign, scoring 18 goals and providing two assists from just 14 appearances in all competitions.
His form has caught the eye of several top European clubs and it was recently claimed that the former Rennes man is flattered by the transfer interest from the Red Devils.
BILD now report that Stuttgart are bracing for the striker’s exit in January amid interest from United among others. He has a low release clause of €20 million in his contract.
The German outfit have earmarked Augsburg striker Dion Beljo as his successor. They have already asked for conditions to sign the 21-year-old during the winter transfer window.
United must capitalise on low buy-out clause to sign Guirassy
United have been one of the lowest scorers in the Premier League this term. They have netted only 18 goals. Luton Town, who are in the drop zone, have scored just one less.
Rasmus Hojlund has been a revelation in Europe with five goals but the Dane has yet to open his scoring account in the top-flight. It should happen sooner rather than later with his huge potential.
However, United can’t play the waiting game and need to find a solution up front this winter. Guirassy would be a clever piece of business, considering the low transfer fee involved.
If he can hit the ground running from the off, Guirassy could propel the club towards a top-four finish
