Serie A giants submit enquiry on €40m Man United summer signing and ready to sign him in January -Reports

Serie A giants Juventus have reportedly enquired about the availability of 23-year-old Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Juventus is reportedly interested in Joshua Zirkzee, according to a report from Caught Offside. As the January transfer window approaches, the Serie A powerhouses are searching the market for an attacker.

As the Bianconeri gather information about the Dutch striker, the Manchester United summer arrival has become a target.

Joshua Zirkzee’s problems with Manchester United Since moving to Manchester United from Bologna in a €40 million move during the summer transfer window, Joshua Zirkzee has had difficulty establishing his dominance.

The Dutchman had a spectacular start to his Manchester United career by scoring the game-winning goal on his Premier League debut, but he hasn’t left a lasting impression.

Zirkzee’s debut goal is the only instance he has found the back of the net in 17 appearances across all competitions thus far this term, although he has provided two assists. The 23-year-old has shown some promising signs but has struggled to impose himself in front of the goalkeeper.

However, the Dutch striker has looked much better for the Netherlands, scoring once in his five outings thus far for the Netherlands.

Meanwhile, Zirkzee’s stock in the market remains high, with several Serie A clubs, including Juventus, keen on taking advantage of his situation at Manchester United by signing him in the January transfer window.

Serie A return on the horizon?
Juventus’s interest in Joshua Zirkzee is understandable. The Serie A giants want more firepower in the offensive department to mount a title challenge in the second half of the 2024/25 season.

With Akradiusz Milik struggling with fitness issues, the Manchester United summer arrival has emerged as a viable target, albeit for a loan move.

The latest report has revealed that the Serie A giants have gathered more information about the Dutchman’s availability in the January transfer window. However, Juventus will hope that Manchester United will cover “a sizeable chunk of” Zirkzee’s wages, which complicates the situation.

The Red Devils do not want to cover a portion of Zirkzee’s wages if they sanction a loan deal for him in the January transfer window. Recent reports have also claimed that Manchester United might use the 23-year-old Dutch attacker in an agreement to sign Viktor Gyokeres. So, it will be interesting to see if a return to Serie A sees the light of day
