Olympic Marseille reach full agreement to sign Man United star with transfer fee details revealed

Manchester United and Marseille have reached an agreement for the sale of forward Mason Greenwood to the French club in a permanent transfer.

Marseille have agreed to pay the Red Devils a total of €31.6 million (£27m/$34m) for the England international, The Athletic reports.

That amount consists of a set price of €27.6 million (£23 million/$30 million) and additional add-ons of €4 million (£3.4 million/$4.3 million). Ben Jacobs claims that the Red Devils have added a clause that will allow them to keep 50% of any future transfer fees Marseille receives.

The Premier League team may even purchase more percentage points down the road. The 22-year-old still needs to be persuaded by Marseille to join the team of new manager Roberto De Zerbi.

Following an outstanding season of playing on loan at Getafe, where he finished with eight goals and six assists in La Liga, the forward has been linked to moves to Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, and Napoli.

Greenwood will have to agree personal terms with the French side, who finished eighth in Ligue last season, before signing a contract and completing the move
