New Signing Joshua Zirkzee urged to Convince £88m Bayern Munich Wonderkid to join him at Man United
Manchester United fans often get the chance to meet and receive signatures from various players outside of Carrington.
Joshua Zirkzee stopped for the fans that waited outside the training facility, even though the team was mostly away in the United States.
Before being requested to do one intriguing thing, the recently arrived Dutchman was seen on camera signing items for a fan.
If accurate, his response might be really intriguing. Musiala has reportedly been courted by Joshua Zirkzee to join Manchester United.
Zirkzee is currently training at Carrington and is looking forward to his new colleagues’ arrival the following week.
One of the admirers he stopped to sign autographs and take pictures with on Monday offered him an intriguing question as he was either leaving or arriving. When Zirkzee was asked if he could invite Musiala of Bayern Munich to visit United, he Replied;
This could just be a bit of tongue and cheek, but if agent Zirkzee can lure Musiala, it could be as interesting indeed as he’d be a superb signing, although it is very unlikely right now.
It’d tough to imagine United managing to lure Musiala away from Bayern, but if he was available Ineos would definitely be front of the queue as it’d be ideal to replace Bruno Fernandes long-term.
Zirkzee and Musiala are known to be close, even holidaying together prior to the United forward starting pre-season.
While Musiala is now a household name, worth a whopping £88m at the very least – according to CIES – there was a time he wasn’t, and United had the chance to sign him.
This came when Musiala was a U16, after he departed Chelsea there was a chance he’d have headed to United only for the club to reject making a move after having him on trial.
The reasoning was that United’s hierarchy decided not to enter the running as they were concerned about the risks of doing so within the regulations – but for a player this good, the rules should have been tested.
Maybe with Zirkzee, United will one summer have another crack at signing Musiala now that he’s a world-beater
