If reports in the media are anything to go by then Manchester United want to hire the services of Morten Hjulmand to improve their midfield.

The Old Trafford outfit have already submitted an offer to lure the Danish international but it was turned down by Sporting CP.

Multiple reports coming from Portugal have indicated that the defensive midfielder will only be allowed to leave if the release clause in his contract is activated.

The Lions did not sign him in the summer transfer window only to offload him within six months, especially when they are leading the league table.

As per Record, Hjulmand has an exit clause of £68.7m in his contract and it must be activated for him to leave in the January transfer window.

This season, United have kept six clean sheets in the Premier League but conceded no fewer than twenty seven goals.
