The report by Fichajes states that United are looking to make a statement signing this summer – and are preparing a move for Vinicius, in what is set to be one of the ‘most surprising signings in recent years’.

The Red Devils are having a crisis this year and could reportedly be willing to offer up to €200million (£171million) for the Brazilian’s services after his superb few seasons at Real Madrid, which has led to him being called the ‘best player in the world by far’ by Los Blancos legend Ronaldo. United are aiming to revolutionise their squad, and Vinicius could be the ideal man they need to embark on a new project under Amorim.
