Man Utd now prepared to complete last minute signing for under £51M PSG star with Personal Terms agreed
In order to bolster their midfield, Manchester United is prepared to make their fifth summer acquisition, with Manuel Ugarte at the top of their list of targets.
Man Utd are willing to wait and finalize a last-minute agreement to sign Ugarte for less than £51 million, according to today’s edition of The Guardian.
The Uruguayan international has already agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils, and they have the money in hand to complete his signing.
But, United is taking a long-term approach with Paris Saint-Germain, who have already signed Joao Felix to replace the 23-year-old playmaker, so they do not require him.
The South American star was not part of the PSG squad in the Ligue 1 opener and the Old Trafford outfit believe the French champions will eventually drop the asking fee of £51million.
The Guardian claim Man Utd are willing to listen to offers for Casemiro, McTominay, Sancho, Lindelof and Antony. However, they do not need cash from the sales of the said players to fund the transfer of Manuel Ugarte.
Therefore, Ten Hag’s team are even prepared to wait for the transfer deadline day to finally sign the former Sporting CP destroyer.
The transfer window will shut down next week on Friday, August 30, and two days later, the Red Devils will collide against arch rivals, Liverpool, in the Premier League at Old Trafford
