Man United to finally sign wanted £45million Barcelona playmaker – Report
Dani Olmo first goal for Spain
Man Utd are struggling to get the three points on the pitch and currently languish 14th in the Premier League table.
Considering the number of signings they made back in the summer, one would assume that their hands are tied in winter.
The Red Devils are in a real spot of bother but could be handed a lifeline in the transfer market that they might not deserve.
Barcelona could be about to lose one of their squad’s best players, due to being unable to register him for La Liga.
As per Mundo Deportivo, Man Utd are pressing to finally sign Spanish playmaker Dani Olmo having wanted to acquire him back in the summer, when he was with RB Leipzig. However, the 26-year-old chose to join Barcelona.
Olmo will be free to leave Barcelona as a free agent and sign for any club of his choice should they not be able to register him for La Liga for the rest of the season.
The Catalan club are working against the clock to try and register the player they signed for £45m back in the summer.
Dani Olmo is one of the best in the world in playing in between the lines and is a joy to watch. Any club in the world would be lucky to have him and should Man Utd be able to land him, it could have a transformative impact on the team.
When a team is down and in the dumps, a signing like Olmo could just be the shot of booster to have a better second half of the season.
Remember when Man Utd signed Bruno Fernandes in a January window all those years ago and turned things around.
Even if say Olmo was to leave Barcelona, there is concern on why he would exactly prefer joining Man Utd. It remains to be seen how this transfer saga plays out and let’s wait and see if this is a signing that is even a remote possibility for the Red Devils
