Manchester United’s reported target Benjamin Sesko is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League in January, according to reports.

The 20-year-old arrived at RB Leipzig from sister club RB Salzburg in the summer and has gone on to make 22 appearances for the Bundesliga team, bagging seven goals in the process.

However, 90min claims Sesko has become disgruntled at playing as backup to Lois Openda who already has 15 goals to his name this season.

Sesko’s ambition is to gain more playing time in the second half of the campaign with Euro 2024 just around the corner. This is believed to have alerted United and their Premier League rivals Newcastle, Arsenal and Chelsea.

‘Intermediaries’ at these Premier League clubs have been told a loan deal with an option to buy should ‘certain criteria be met’, is possible this winter.

The quartet of teams are reportedly keen on this arrangement with United, in particular, in desperate need of goals.

Elsewhere, Football Insider claims United could allow Amad to leave on loan in January as he continues his recuperation from injury.

After a successful stint away at Sunderland last season, the Ivorian winger was tipped to push on this year.

However, a knee injury put paid to those hopes in pre-season and the 21-year-old only returned to full training recently. Despite being close to full fitness, Amad was not named on the bench during the defeat to West Ham on Saturday leading to speculation about his future.

The report claims United do not see Amad breaking into the starting line-up this season and as such would allow him to depart on loan in January.

Southampton are thought to be one of the clubs interested in his signature while unnamed clubs in Europe are also mentioned as observing the situation.
