Man United recieve huge transfer boost as summer target gets left out from the England team for the EUROs now free for ‘transfer talks’

According to a report by Manchester Evening News Manchester United target, Jarrad Branthwaite is now free for ‘transfer talks’.

The reason behind the 21-year-old’s sudden availability is his snub from England’s squad for the EUROs.

The English defender put on a show for Everton this season making a total of 41 appearances on defence. He even recorded three goals and people expected him to make it to the EUROs thanks to the fine form he’s enjoyed.

However, England manager, Gareth Southgate believes going it is still too early for Branthwaite.

Along with the 21-year-old, James Maddison, Harry Maguire, Jarell Quansah, and Curtis Jones were also snubbed for a spot.

It is quite surprising that Southgate believes it’s too early for 21-year-old Branthwaite while picking 18-year-old Kobbie Mainoo for the EUROs. Regardless of the reasoning behind it, this is good news for the Red Devils.

The Three Lions’ manager had said earlier that transfer talks would not take place for the players in the England squad until after the EUROs were over. Now that Branthwaite is not going, United can pursue him four weeks earlier than planned.

All it really means is that now Manchester United can break the bank for Branthwaite four weeks prior to their original plan. The 21-year-old has a lot of clubs lining up for him so the Red Devils will face quite a challenge.

This might not have been his year, but Branthwaite will surely be representing England in the future.

It must be disappointing for Branthwaite to not make it to the final squad for the EUROs.

However, his mood could change really quickly now that he might be heading to one of the biggest clubs in the world.
