Man United now close to seal deal for £41M Bayern Munich star after Personal terms agreed
Manchester United is getting close to landing their second summer acquisition, as they confirmed their first major acquisition of the summer yesterday.
According to today’s Bild (press photo below), Man Utd and Matthijs de Ligt have already reached a personal agreement.
To complete the deal, the Old Trafford team is now getting closer to coming to an agreement with Bayern Munich.
Stars who are anticipated to depart the Bundesliga this summer have been examined by the German media source; De Ligt is slated to join the Premier League.
The Dutch central defender is allegedly wanted by Bayern, and negotiations with Manchester United for a contract worth £41.9 million plus bonuses are reportedly ongoing.
The news source state “Agreement in sight’, confirming that the fee between the two clubs over the transfer of De Ligt is close to being agreed.
Last season, Man Utd were average in both the attacking and defensive third as they only netted 57 goals and conceded 58 in the Premier League.
To reinforce the offense, Ten Hag has already lured Joshua Zirkzee. Now, the Dutch manager is pressing to improve the backline by reuniting with De Ligt at Man Utd
