Man United interested and keen to sign Fulham star player who was faster than Kylian Mbappe at the World Cup

Manchester United are eyeing a surprise move for a Fulham player in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils have still not decided whether they are going to keep Erik ten Hag as their manager or sack him and bring in a new boss.

That decision is expected to be made very soon, but irrespective of what happens, Manchester United need reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch.

Manchester united coach Erik Ten Hag came under immense criticism for his side’s performances, but he does deserve a bit of sympathy because he missed many of his key players for large parts of the campaign.

Luke Shaw didn’t even play 1000 minutes of football in the Premier League, while Tyrell Malacia missed the entire campaign due to an injury.

That forced Ten Hag to use Aaron Wan-Bissaka in an unnatural left-back position on many occasions, which was far from ideal.

Manchester United are now planning to sign a new left-back this summer, and they have three Premier League defenders on their shortlist.

Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, is one of them, while Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri is also said to be of interest to Manchester United.

The other player on their list is Fulham star Antonee Robinson, who was arguably their best player in the Premier League in the 2023/24 season.

The USMNT international missed just one game in the league last season. He picked up six assists in 37 games and really impressed with his overlapping runs.

Robinson signed a new contract at Fulham in July 2023 and he has been tied down until the summer of 2028.

That puts the Cottagers in a strong position in potential transfer negotiations, but if Manchester United really want him, they should be able to get him.

Antonee Robinson of Fulham is playing during the Premier League match between Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur at Craven Cottage in London, on March 16.

The 26-year-old is absolutely rapid, and when he’s in full flow, it is very difficult to stop him. That’s probably why Manchester United are interested in signing him.

Back in 2022, during the World Cup in Qatar, Robinson impressed everyone with his blistering pace.

He was the fourth fastest player in the group stage with a top speed of 21.99 mph, which was higher than what Kylian Mbappe managed then (Sky Sports).

Robinson and someone like Alejandro Garnacho on Manchester United’s left flank could cause opponents all sorts of problems next season
