Man United initiate ‘move’ to sign £51million RB Leipzig forward amid strong Barcelona interest

According to reports in Spain, Man Utd have initiated a move to sign Spanish international, Dani Olmo, from RB Leipzig.

As per a story published by Mundo Deportivo today (news image provided below), the La Roja playmaker can be lured for a fee of £51m (clause) before mid July.

The news source claim United have started to ‘move’ for Olmo, who is also on the radar of Liverpool, Bayern, City and Barca.

He used to play for the La Masia academy and hopes to return to the Nou Camp.

However, Barcelona have serious financial difficulties and need to sort our their economic problems before moving to hire the Spaniard.

Catalan sporting director, Deco, has endorsed the signing of the Bundesliga attacker. The Brazilian considers that he is a player at the ideal age to make the leap.

He scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists for Leipzig in the 2023-24 campaign but spent a lot of time on the injury table.

Olmo has the quality and the experience to reinforce the offense at Man Utd but the Red Devils must consider his injury record before signing him.
