Man United “exploring move” for perfect Raphaël Varane replacement

Man United are exploring a move for a perfect Raphaël Varane replacement ahead of the summer transfer window.

Varane, 30, confirmed that he will be leaving United at the end of the season as his contract expires.

The Frenchman said his goodbyes to the Old Trafford crowd on Wednesday evening after the 3-2 win over Newcastle United.

He spent three years at the club after signing from Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelöf and Jonny Evans also have uncertain futures at the club, which means central defence will be a priority for INEOS in the summer.

Reds interested in Yoro
United are exploring the possibility of luring Lille star Leny Yoro to Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window, according to Give Me Sport.

The Red Devils are interested in the 18-year-old, who has made 43 appearances in all competitions this season and has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

However, it was added that United will only intensify their pursuit if they receive assurances that Yoro is not solely focused on joining the newly-crowned La Liga champions.

Doubts exist over whether Madrid would meet Lille’s £52 million valuation when the transfer window reopens.

The report concluded that this uncertainty could give United the opportunity to move in as they seek a replacement for the departing Varane.
