Man United agree deal to sign French wonderkid on free transfer -Reports
Manchester United are closing in on a deal to sign French starlet Enzo Kana-Biyik on a free transfer.
The 18-year-old is out of contract at Le Havre this summer with United moving quickly to snap up the talented forward.
Le Parisien report Kana-Biyik is travelling to Manchester today co complete the move. He will follow in the footsteps of Paul Pogba, who left the same French club as a teenager as a 16-year-old to join United.
Riyad Mahrez is also among Le Havre’s glittering alumni
The striker is expected to sign a deal at Old Trafford before being loaned out to FC Lausanne-Sport, the Swiss side also owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS, ahead of next season.
While Kana-Biyik is very much regarded as a signing for the future, United are already well underway with plans to improve their first-team this summer.
Ruben Amorim’s side are close to agreeing terms with Matheus Cunha and are ready to activate his £62.5million release clause to sign him from Wolves.
Cunha has scored 15 goals in 29 Premier League appearances this season with Arsenal and Newcastle United also thought to be admirers.
But United have moved quickly to try and get a deal over the line.
With Cunha likely to occupy one of the two no 10 roles in Amorim’s system should be make the move to Manchester, Amorim is also eager to bring in a new centre forward.
