Man United actually offered £45m to sign Crystal Palace player in January

Manchester United made an approach to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace in January.

Well – according to Give Me Sport – Crystal Palace actually told three different Premier League clubs to forget about signing the England international in January.

Tottenham and Newcastle were both told to move on.

However, Manchester United are said to have actually put a £45m offer on the table after also making contact to enquire about Guehi.

Give Me Sport believe this sum was nowhere near Crystal Palace’s valuation of the central defender, and talks then collapsed.

Marc Guehi could have already made final Crystal Palace appearance
Give Me Sport add that Guehi is determined to battle back from his knee injury and make another appearance for Crystal Palace this season.

The 23-year-old recently had surgery to amend a knee issue suffered in the 4-1 defeat to Brighton.

However – if Guehi fails to recover in time to play the rest of this season – he may not feature for Crystal Palace again given the volume of transfer interest coming his way.

The Telegraph believe Liverpool are also keen to sign the man from Abidjan – that same report states that Crystal Palace are already searching for replacements, which suggests Steve Parish may be bracing himself to lose the defender.
