I will return to Man United on one condition – Jadon Sancho has made feelings clear on Edin Terzic to replace Erik Ten Hag at Man United

Edin Terzic, a free agent who left Dortmund last season, is among the most recent managers connected to the Manchester United position as pressure on Erik ten Hag mounts.

After leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, former Manchester United player Jadon Sancho enthusiastically endorsed Edin Terzic, the coach who is now the most recent name being linked to succeed Erik ten Hag.

Ten Hag’s situation is under extreme pressure as the Red Devils have had their worst-ever start to the season, scoring only eight points in seven games.

During a seven-hour crisis meeting last week, the club’s executive team discussed Ten Hag’s future.

Terzic is one of the latest managers linked to the Old Trafford dugout, with the German currently a free agent after leaving Dortmund last season.

The 41-year-old is a highly-rated coach and led the Bundesliga outfit to the Champions League final last term, losing 2-0 to Real Madrid, before opting to end his two-year stint in charge of the team.

Terzic is now reportedly on a shortlist of names United are considering if they do opt to sack Ten Hag in weeks to come – and Sancho has already given a glowing appraisal of his old boss after working together at Dortmund.

Sancho posted a tribute to Terzic after his exit from the club was announced in June, thanking him for “trusting” him after he was loaned to the German giants, having been frozen out by Ten Hag.

“Thank you for trusting me, forever grateful,’ he said. “I wish you the best of luck on your next chapter @edinterzic11.”

Sancho was given 21 appearances in the yellow shirt by Terzic, who started him in the final defeat against Madrid. The England winger has since secured a loan move to Chelsea, with the Blues having an obligation to buy him for £25m next summer.

Terzic is not the only coach said to be under consideration by United. The club have also been linked with appointing Graham Potter, Thomas Tuchel – who held talks with owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe this summer – as well as ex-England boss Gareth Southgate.

United players are currently away on international duty but will return on October 19 for a must-win home game against Brentford.
