I will return on one condition – Jadon Sancho gives clear RETURN message to Man United as he gives Chelsea training verdict after Erik ten Hag’s demand

Jadon Sancho, who is on loan from Manchester United, has stated that he enjoys training at Chelsea because the team at Cobham is encouraging him to improve as a player.

After a turbulent season at Old Trafford, Sancho is expected to sign a permanent contract with Chelsea in the summer.

After former manager Erik ten Hag said the Englishman’s performances at Carrington were below par, he was banished from the United team in September 2023.

This charge did not sit well with the 24-year-old, who took to social media to complain that his management was using him as a “scapegoat.”

Despite the removal of the post, Sancho was banished from the first team because no apology was given.

In January, he was sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund and at the end of that spell away from the club ‘buried the hatchet’ with Ten Hag. Even so, United decided that the best course of action was to sell Sancho eventually agreeing the loan move with an obligation to buy with the Blues

Since arriving at Chelsea, Sancho’s fortunes have improved while Ten Hag’s have declined. The Dutchman is no longer the boss at United while the winger is currently helping the Blues challenge for the Premier League title.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Sancho twice mentioned training in a subtle call back to the criticism previously levelled at him and his attitude towards day-to-day work. “The players that we have in the squad are top quality so every day in training we’re pushing each other,” he explained

“Every time we get an opportunity we want to show what we can do and I feel like the team has created a nice bond within the dressing room. I think having all of those combined shows in the performances on the pitch

“Everyone is similar in age and most of the boys have been playing for quite a while and have a lot of experience. It’s nice to be in and around the group and the training is fun.”

Since arriving at Chelsea, there have been no reported complaints about Sancho’s training performances and he has become a key component in Enzo Maresca’s team scoring in both of their last two Premier League matches
