I prefer to join.. – £50m Bayern Munich midfielder opens the door to potential Man United transfer after sending new message on his immediate future

Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich has hinted that he could be on the move this summer amidst links to the Premier League and Manchester United

Bolstering the midfielder is believed to be a priority for United heading into the upcoming transfer window.

For large parts of the 2023/24 season, United struggled in the middle of the park, with the likes of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen unable to replicate the fine performances they put up in their maiden campaigns at Old Trafford.

If they leave, United’s need for midfield reinforcements will only become more urgent.

In addition to this, the Red Devils also need to secure the services of an ideal partner for young Kobbie Mainoo. This is where Kimmich comes in.

For some time now, there has been speculation surrounding his future at Bayern considering he has one year left on his deal with the Bavarian outfit.

Kimmich’s contract situation is thought to align with a transfer policy INEOS want to implement at United of pursuing players approaching the final months of their deals.

HITC reveal that Kimmich is assessing his options ahead of his next major career move. Spain and England are potential transfer destinations for the 29-year-old.

Kimmich spoke to the media (via Fabrizio Romano) and addressed his situation.

The eight-time Bundesliga winner said about his future with Bayern, “It doesn’t just depend on me. What does the club want?”

“FC Bayern remains my first point of contact, talks will take place about my future. I’ve still one year left on my contract.”

For United and any other interested party, it’s slightly encouraging that he didn’t shut the door to the possibility of moving elsewhere. It’s certainly one to keep a close eye on
