Furious Man Utd fans have lot to say about Luke Shaw performance vs Brentford as surprise ‘time to accept’ claim is made

Furious Manchester United fans pulled no punches towards Luke Shaw after the defender’s display in the Premier League defeat to Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils returned to Premier League action on the weekend and Manchester United travelled to the Gtech Community Stadium to face Brentford.

United made the breakthrough against Brentford in the first half after Mason Mount netted the opener in the 14th minute at the Gtech Community Stadium.

However, Luke Shaw was then at fault after he put the ball past Altay Bayindir and Brentford were level against United in the 27th minute of the Premier League tie

The United defender served as captain after Bruno Fernandes was dropped to the bench and Amorim subbed Shaw off for Leny Yoro in the second half.

United fans took to social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, and couldn’t hold back their feelings over Shaw’s disappointing performance for the Red Devils.

One X user said: “BTW, this should definitely be Luke Shaw’s LAST [sic] season at the club, he’s done.”

“Luke Shaw provided none of his experience in the first half,” another added.

A third Red Devils supporter tweeted: “Starting a match with Luke Shaw is scarier [than being without Bruno Fernandes].”
Somebody else posted: “Luke Shaw has been woeful since his return from injury… I miss Shawberto Carlos – all focus [is] on the second leg against [Athletic] Bilbao now.”

While a fifth argued: “Luke Shaw has overstayed his welcome and needs to be sold at this point. Time to accept it just hasn’t worked out.”

Another United fan claimed: “For our own [sake], Luke Shaw must not start on Thursday. He single-handedly finished us today…”

“Luke Shaw [is] always unavailable and now a liability now that he’s available,” a seventh suggested.
