First January signing confirmed as Viktor Gyokeres drops fresh hint ahead of January transfer -Reports

Manchester United just has a few weeks left to finish getting ready for the January transfer window, but it already looks like they’ve made their first acquisition.

To turn around their faltering season, Manchester United may look to the transfer market.

Ruben Amorim, the new Red Devils manager, lost to the team for the first time over the weekend. Nottingham Forest defeated United 3-2 over the weekend.

The team is now eight points behind the top four and in 13th place in the Premier League standings.

Fortunately, Amorim will have the opportunity to expand his team next month once the January transfer window opens.

First signing complete
Emmanuel Ziro has confirmed that he has put pen to paper on a deal with Manchester United. The 16-year-old joins from London-based Cre8tive Football Academy.

Confirming his move on Instagram, he wrote: “Firstly, I would like to thank my family for all their love, support and encouragement throughout the years. For as long as I can remember I’ve had a ball at my feet and enjoy the game of football.

“I now have the opportunity to continue doing that at the biggest club in the world, as well as the team I support. I look forward to continuing my journey playing for Manchester United and would like to thank everyone that has contributed to my development up until now especially @cre8tive.football. You guys are my family and I thank you for everything you have done for me up.”

Gyokeres drops hint
Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres has hinted he wants to follow in the footsteps of two Man United legends. The Swede continues to be strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford.

“The players I looked up to were Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo,” Gyokeres told UEFA.com when he was asked who his idols were growing up ahead of Sporting’s upcoming fixture against Club Brugge in the Champions League.

“It’s about how they performed on the pitch, they went the extra mile which impressed me. I wanted to do similar things on the pitch.”
