Eriksen, Hojlund, Casemiro, Shaw – Man United Nine injured stars and their return dates

Man United have nine players on the treatment table during the international break.

Things aren’t getting much better for Manchester United in the treatment room.

Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund are the latest players to pick up injuries having been taken off against Luton Town on Saturday afternoon. They have both withdrawn from the Denmark squad.

Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Casemiro have been longer-term absentees for United and Erik ten Hag must now check up on nine players when his side return to domestic and European action. Here is our latest injury round-up with possible return dates for those nine players.

Eriksen was forced off after 40 minutes during the Luton game and United have since provided an update on his situation. The playmaker will be missing for around one month with a knee problem.

Possible return date: November 26 vs Everton (A)

In a double announcement from the club, it was revealed £72million striker Hojlund should return this month with Everton next up for United on Sunday, November 26 (4.30pm).

That match is followed by a trip to Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday, November 29.

Casemiro
Injury: Hamstring

Return date: January

What Ten Hag has said: “He was injured just before half-time [during the Carabao Cup game against Newcastle]. That’s why we have to take him off.”

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Return date: November 26 vs Everton (A)

What Ten Hag has said: “Aaron was ill so we had to change [against Luton]. We have to do it often.”

What Ten Hag has said: “We can’t do that [give a return date]. It’s personal these days and he [Shaw] will be out for some period absent.”

Lisandro Martinez
Injury: Foot

Return date: January

What Ten Hag has said: “He has to go through the same process and I’m really sorry for him. The squad will miss him. As you know, we have more injuries, so we always have to deal with it as a squad. As a club, we have to deal with injuries. He has to be strong. He will fight back, I’m sure. He’s a character.”
