The agent of Manchester United-linked defender Radu Dragusin has spoken out about the Romanian’s future at Serie A side Genoa.

Radu Dragusin was linked with a move to Manchester United earlier this week by Romanian outlet Pro Sport as Erik ten Hag looks to bolster a defence that has been struggling at this moment in time.

Raphael Varane’s future at United looks to be all but over with the Frenchman struggling to get back into Ten Hag’s plans as the Dutchman prefers either Victor Lindelof partnering Harry Maguire or even left-back Luke Shaw.

Lisandro Martinez will be out of action until Christmas according to Ten Hag and a new partner for the Argentine will surely be sought after next summer.

Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea spoke to outlet iAMSport about his future and the links to United, it does look like the defender isn’t actually of interest to the Red Devils at all.

“Manchester United is always Manchester United. It’s a top team, as a tradition, as everything. He is on several lists, I am not surprised that he would also be on Manchester United’s, I haven’t spoken to anyone from there yet, but there are several teams interested,” he said.

“For now, there is nothing concrete, let’s have a written offer or something, but I am in London, and I will have meetings all week. He will probably move in the summer at the latest, I understand that Genoa also has some problems, they have to give some money to the state.”

The Red Devils, for what seems like the 100th summer in a row, will be looking for a new long-term centre-back. Varane, Maguire and Martinez have all been purchased in the past four years, the Red Devils have to get it right this time.

After playing a key part in helping the Italian club return to the top flight last season, Dragusin has extended his fine form into this season, attracting interest from several teams in the process and United are, unsurprisingly, linked.
