Champions League: Erik ten Hag drops major selection hint and five more things spotted in Manchester United training ahead of FC Copenhagen clash

Man United have been put through their paces before the Champions League game vs FC Copenhagen.

Manchester United have sharpened up their shooting boots for a must-win game against FC Copenhagen during their latest training session at Carrington.

After defeats to Bayern Munich and Galatasaray in the marquee European competition this campaign, United will continue their Group A quest against Danish opposition on Tuesday night. Players were put through their paces by Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff in the build-up.

On-loan defender Sergio Reguilon is pushing for a return after recovering from injury and illness.

However, though fit-again Casemiro has also jetted back into the UK after the international break, he will play no part due to his one-game Champions League ban.

United might have got back to winning ways in the Premier League over their last two games, but there is plenty for Ten Hag to ponder when it comes to Europe this season.

Here, we take a closer look at exactly what happened during the latest training session at Carrington before the Copenhagen match.

Fit-again midfielder Casemiro was put through his paces by teammate Diogo Dalot. However, the Brazilian powerhouse will not be available for selection as he serves a one-game suspension in the competition.

Donny van de Beek found something funny as he mixed it with Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans. The former Ajax midfielder can play no part against the Danes after he was brutally axed from the Champions League squad.

Sergio Reguilon would have returned for United on Saturday night had it not been for illness. He stepped up his recovery from an injury setback here and will offer the team added balance at left-back
