Barcelona Keen to sign Man United wonderkid as first summer deal ‘agreed’

The 2024 transfer window is finally open – and Manchester United look set to start with a huge signing this summer.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has already promised significant investment into the Red Devils’ current playing squad. That will certainly excite current manager Erik ten Hag.

The Dutchman’s future was previously up in the air but he has been told that he will be staying. He could also sign a new deal at Old Trafford.

Barcelona keen on Mainoo

It is suggested that Man United officials are aware of Barca’s interest and have opened talks regarding a new deal. Mainoo’s representatives are asking for an extension to his current deal with a significant wage increase.

The 19-year-old has three years left on his deal at Old Trafford.

Red Devils agree Branthwaite terms
While Mainoo could potentially be on his way out, one man who could be arriving is Jarrad Branthwaite. The Red Devils are long-term admirers of the Everton defender.

And it appears that a deal could be close. According to The Times, Man United have agreed personal terms with the England centre-back regarding a move.

It is reported that the Red Devils would be willing to pay him between £150,000 and £160,000 per week. However, there now remains the hurdle of agreeing a deal with Everton.
