I will join Man United on one condition – Man United determined to sign Alphonso Davies ahead of Real Madrid after surprise transfer message

Manchester United are reportedly prepared to go all out to sign Alphonso Davies under the nose of Real Madrid.

In the summer transfer window, United proved their financial might and resolve by beating Madrid to buy Lille’s Leny Yoro.

Although Los Blancos were viewed as the front-runners for the Kylian Mbappe of center backs, United caused quite a stir when they quickly reached an agreement with Lille to acquire Yoro for £52.18 million plus £6.73 million in add-ons.

It appears that the Red Devils are prepared to shell out a lot of money to acquire a second long-term Madrid target. Alphonso Davies, a left back for Bayern Munich, is wanted by Manchester United.

According to a TEAMtalk article citing sources in Spain, Davies would receive a “blank cheque” from the Premier League’s biggest teams if he decides to “abandon” his plans to join the Spanish team and relocate to Old Trafford.

The Canadian star is in the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich and holds all the cards over a summer move on a free transfer.

United seemingly recognise this, and as per the Spanish report they are willing to let Davies decide whatever wage he wants to accept a move to Manchester.

The 23-year-old is understood to be eager to play for Madrid, but “the feeling from United” is that such an ambitious offer will convince him to snub the La Liga club.

However, as things stand, Carlo Ancelotti’s side are seen as frontrunners, with United’s chances to lure Davies to the Theatre of Dreams described “not very high”.

Signing an elite left-back like Davies could prove to be a huge statement of intent from INEOS.

In the last 12 months or so, Ten Hag has had to deal with a frustrating injury crisis in that area of the pitch. With Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia sidelined, the Dutchman has used several innovative ideas, including pushing right-back Diogo Dalot to the opposite flank.

Against Brentford, the United gaffer trusted centre-back Lisandro Martinez to cover the position in the absence of Noussair Mazraoui
