Man United interested in signing world class 23-year-old star who’s nearing the end of his contract Amid strong Real Madrid links

Manchester United reportedly have an interest in the potential transfer of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, even if it’s expected to be difficult to beat Real Madrid to his signature

One of the best left-backs in the world of football, the Canadian international poses a concern for Bayern because his contract at the Allianz Arena is about to expire in a few months.

Give Me Sport reports that Real Madrid is viewed as Davies’ obvious preferred destination, but Man Utd is among the teams interested in signing the 23-year-old.

Other teams that are keeping an eye on Davies include Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.

It would be fantastic business for the Red Devils if they could pull off another coup like they did with Leny Yoro last summer, but Davies has been closely associated with Real Madrid in the last summer transfer window.

Davies might not be the most realistic target for United, but at the same time it’s easy to see why he’s on their radar as he would be such a clear upgrade on the injury-prone and inconsistent Luke Shaw.

Someone like Kerkez would also surely be worth looking at, and MUFC will probably also have a few other names on their radar.

Real Madrid have done well to snap up free agents in recent times, with Kylian Mbappe perhaps the best example of that, while Antonio Rudiger also proved an astute piece of business
