Manchester United face the difficult task of convincing Leny Yoro to switch his attention from Real Madrid and join Erik ten Hag’s side this summer.

According to reports from Manchester Evening News on Tuesday, The French team Lille had accepted United’s offer for Yoro.

The 18-year-old is reportedly being offered between €60 million and €70 million; if accepted, this would make him the club’s third-most costly exit, after Nicolas Pepe and Victor Osimhen.

As part of a significant makeover of the Old Trafford defense, Sir Jim Ratcliffe may sign up to three center backs this summer.

Jarrad Branthwaite of Everton has had two bids turned down, and Matthijs de Ligt of Bayern Munich has verbally agreed to personal terms. United’s scouts were drawn to Yoro by his Ligue 1 appearances.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the president of Lille, Oliver Letang, is pushing for the centre-back to move to Manchester this summer.

It’s said that Letang hopes that Yoro will opt to move to United as their current offer presents the club with the best possible deal at the current moment.

Man United will be hoping that Lille’s push for Yoro to choose United will give them an advantage in securing his signature over Real Madrid and Liverpool sooner rather than later
