Man Utd transfer news LIVE: Man United very close to Fourth signing with Sheikh Jassim ‘ready’ to complete takeover

Manchester United are stepping up their summer transfer business and Express Sport is on hand with all the latest from Old Trafford.

Manchester United are starting to put their foot down in the transfer market with around six weeks of the window remaining.

Erik ten Hag has made three signings already and is keen to increase that number, as well as moving a host of players out of Old Trafford.

Man Utd decide stance on permanent Jonny Evans transfer after surprise return.

Signing a goalkeeper was a priority for Ten Hag and he completed that piece of the puzzle on Thursday.

Andre Onana has joined from Inter Milan for an initial fee of just under £44million.

The ex-Ajax stopper joins Mason Mount and Jonny Evans as the two signings the Red Devils have made so far. Evans is only on a short-term deal at the moment but has the chance to impress in pre-season.

A fourth signing could soon be on the cards, with Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat and Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund both targeted.

However, Ten Hag has not had it all his own way and we will bring news of a player who has rejected the chance to join United.

No Amrabat offers
Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone insists the club are yet to receive any offers for Sofyan Amrabat.

Amrabat is one of the midfielders United are interested in signing before the end of the window.

Liverpool are also reported to be keen on the Morocco international.

But Barone said: “We have not received any proposal for Sofyan. I told him to stay focused on our club.”

Sheikh Jassim ‘ready to complete’
Sheikh Jassim has everything ready to complete his takeover of Manchester United, reports claim.

The Glazers are yet to decide on which bid they will accept.

The Qatari billionaire is going head-to-head with INEOS founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

CBS Sports claims that Sheikh Jassim has everything in place to buy United if he gets the green light to do so from the current owners.

United make Evans decision
Manchester United are set to give Jonny Evans the chance to prove himself in pre-season.

Evans has only signed a short-term deal in order to maintain his fitness and also help the Red Devils out.

But the Telegraph reports that a longer-term deal has not been ruled out.

United could be short of centre-back options if they let Harry Maguire and Eric Bailly leave.
