Man Utd fans are giving their honest verdict on Chido Obi performance vs Hong Kong, as ‘he’s already shown more’ after scoring 2 goals

Manchester United fans instantly reacted to Chido Obi after Ruben Amorim’s men were in action for their post-season tour encounter with the Hong Kong national team.

The Red Devils embarked on their post-season tour of Asia earlier this week after Manchester United defeated 10-man Aston Villa 2-0 at Old Trafford last Sunday.

The Premier League club ended the 2024-25 season languishing in 15th place in the table, with United suffering their worst finish since the league’s formation in 1992.

Ruben Amorim’s men kicked off their post-season tour on Wednesday afternoon and United clashed with ASEAN All-Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Malaysia.

However, United fell short of ASEAN All-Stars in their friendly match and Maung Maung Lwin stunned the Red Devils in the second half by bagging the winner

Following the Red Devils’ 1-0 defeat in Kuala Lumpur, United travelled to China for their final post-season tour match in Asia against Hong Kong on Friday afternoon.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, want to see more of Chido Obi in the frontline ahead of struggling striker Rasmus Hojlund.

“Never want to see Rasmus ahead of Chido in pre-season,” one Red Devils supporter wrote.

Another United fan said: “Chido Obi [is a] very good striker, edge of the box on the turn with his left foot as well. He needs a loan spell out to [a] Prem [Premier League] team or see how he does in pre-season as well. He’s definitely something [of an] exciting prospect.”

“Chido did more in [five] minutes than Ras [Rasmus] did the entire first half,” someone else argued.

While a fourth X user posted: “Chido Obi scoring for the first team, friendly or not, [it] will do him the power of good… big summer ahead for the youngster.”

And a fifth posted: “Chido Obi will be a top player. He makes excellent runs and can finish for fun. He [has] gotta get some more game time next season.”
